FatTire bike purchased online, and electrical components sourced individually. Uses an electric bike motor, a 36v Li-ion battery, high voltage motor controller, and throttle control. The most difficult aspect of the project was fabricating a stable motor mount, as the motor was not designed for a FatTire bike.
Modifications were made in my home garage, then it was shipped to Boston for assembly. Allows for fast, fun and faithful transportation around the city!
Funny story! The package was so large it had to be picked up from the UPS hub outside of town. I rented a bicycle and rode it several miles all the way out of town to pickup my package. As it was far too large to carry back on my own, I then had to assemble the pieces inside the UPS store, and rode it all the way back into the city. (In the pouring rain)
